Every follower of Jesus is called to believe certain things in his mind, practice certain things in his life, and become certain things in his heart.

In an effort to help people grow in these ways, we have identified twelve beliefs, practices, and virtues that we hold to be essential to the Christian faith.

We weave these beliefs, practices, and virtues into every aspect of church life, from Sunday messages to small groups to weekly devotional readings.

By focusing not only on right convictions but also on right conduct and character, we aim to develop well-balanced followers of Jesus who love Him with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength.

    Beliefs
  • There is one God who exists as three persons (Matthew 28:19)
  • The Bible is the inspired word of God, true in all it affirms (2 Timothy 3:16)
  • God created the world out of nothing (Genesis 1:1)
  • God created us in His image (Genesis 1:26-28)
  • All have sinned (Romans 3:23)
  • God saves us by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9)
  • Jesus is the only-begotten Son of God (1 John 4:9)
  • Jesus was virgin-born, lived a perfect life, died on the cross and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
  • The Holy Spirit is the abiding presence of God (2 Corinthians 3:17)
  • The Holy Spirit indwells, equips and empowers the believer (John 14:16-17)
  • Jesus established the church to minister until His return (Matthew 16:18)
  • Jesus will soon return to claim the church and judge the lost (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

  • Surrendering your life to the Lord (Romans 12:1)

  • Saturating your heart with prayer (Colossians 4:2)
  • Submitting yourself to the accountability of others (Ephesians 5:21)
  • Stimulating other believers to love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24-25)
  • Speaking truth seasoned with grace (Ephesians 4:25)
  • Sacrificing your resources beyond what seems reasonable (Matthew 19:21)
  • Serving others as Christ served us (John 13:14-15)
